Every poet
knows fear
like the back of their hand.
They're well acquainted
with every vein, every bone
every twist and flick
of the wrist
that prints some part of
themselves
on the page.
They all know
the fear that comes with creating
something that everyone will find legible
but not everyone will read.
The fear of putting yourself out there
of throwing your you to the wolves of the world.
Every poet knows...
wether they like to admit it
or not.

Reality is merely a product of perception. If you don't like what you see try looking at it a different way or from another place. If you still don't like it do something to change it or move on. Yes, it really is that simple.
but not everyone will read." Because that's profoundly, painfully true, and I'm glad you could find the words to express it.
Also, I love seeing the way this poem was inspired by Scarlettletters, but doesn't lean on the original to express its meaning. You know what I mean, right? It's just as beautiful, but it's not a carbon copy - it has a different viewpoint and theme. That makes me happy.
Good work, all in all. I'd be interested to see the rest of your gallery!
